Diving and Dining

Nothing beats seafood fresh from the ocean, and when you get to enjoy the catch yourself...well, this is even better.  We are fortunate enough to live close to a few dive spots, and with the help of couple of friends soon turned a lazy Sunday afternoon into an adventure.  We collected a few New Zealand Paua from the Wellington harbour, took them home to make fritters, then invited some friends around to share a dinner in the late summer's evening.

We kept the fritters simple- onion, parsley, flour, egg, salt and baking powder; and served alongside a light salad and a Marborough Sauvignon Blanc.
